MAYWEATHER CALLS OUT PACQUIAO: "STEP UP, PUNK"

Someone get Manny Pacquiao on the phone. Floyd Mayweather Jr. wants a fight. Mayweather has already picked out a date (May 5th) and is now calling on the Pac-Man to meet him in the ring.

Floyd took to Twitter today to make the challenge, and he seems serious. In fact, this may be the closest we've been to seeing legitimate fight talks.

"Manny Pacquiao I'm calling you out let's fight May 5th and give the world what they want to see," Mayweather tweeted.

Fight talks have been hampered both by Pacquiao's refusal to submit to Olympic style blood testing and Mayweather's domestic violence charges, stemming from a punching and arm-twisting fallout with his ex-girlfriend. Mayweather is slated to served an 87-day sentence in Las Vegas, but his attorney convinced the judge to delay the sentence so that Mayweather could fulfill contractual obligations for a fight.

"My jail sentence got pushed back because the date was locked in. Step up punk," Mayweather later tweeted.

No matter which fighter you're rooting for, you have to admit that the constant teasing is getting old. Both camps know exactly what they need to to make this fight happen. Let's hope they get it done this time. Oh, who are we kidding? We probably won't see a fight until they're well into their 40s.
